A drive through crucifiction in Burlington, NC

This was an event held by a local Methodist Church in Burlington. You drive through the church's parking lot, and you view different scenes of Jesus' crucifixion. Here are photo's of the different scenes, and a very short video at the bottom of the scene where Jesus was being whipped and forced to carry the cross by the Romans.

This was the first scene. It was of Jesus entering Jerusalem.

This is the scene of the last supper.

Apparently, this is Jesus praying in the garden. Interesting fact, this Jesus was played by a woman. To gender equality!

Jesus gets betrayed by a disciples, and the Roman ruler, Pontius Pilate, orders him to death.

Yep, carrying the cross and being whipped

I learned something. Jesus was hanged with two other people! That is why the crosses on hills are often shown in threes.

Guard standing guard over Jesus' tomb.

Oh goodness! The tomb is open!!!

Jesus totally came to some people after dieing while they were eating! Jesus is the real miracle worker!

Yeah, this is Jesus ascending to heaven. True story...it was witnessed by his disciples.

Here is the video

For those in the Piedmont Triad area, you can go see the drive through crucifixion tomorrow, Saturday April 3rd, 8:00-9:30pm. Location and such can be found here.

This is not related to the crucifixion, it was just a church with a sign that I thought had a decent, if not ironic message.

3 is a sacred number in Jewish numerology, it stands for God.

So why do you hate God so much?

Tim...

I think it would depend on your precise define of god as to whether or not I hated him/her/it. Of course, I would only hate or like god in the same way I hate or like Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker. I think god is a fiction, and whether or not I hate or like god as a fiction character has no bearing on his/her/its realness. Nothing god did to me makes me hate him, because god could not have done anything to me, because god is not real. I would only hate (or like) god as a literary character. Nothing more, nothing less.

I hope that somewhat of a non-answer to your specific question is somewhat enlightening.

Gotta love the assumptions with that question. So Tim, when did you stop beating your wife?

That is equivalently the same question.

The numerology thing is all throughout the Bible. 3, 7, 12, to name a few, but you can see that the writers of the New Testament worked all of it into Christianity also. I am amazed at how many Christians don't know this.
