A drive through crucifiction in Burlington, NC
This was an event held by a local Methodist Church in Burlington. You drive through the church's parking lot, and you view different scenes of Jesus' crucifixion. Here are photo's of the different scenes, and a very short video at the bottom of the scene where Jesus was being whipped and forced to carry the cross by the Romans.
This was the first scene. It was of Jesus entering Jerusalem.
This is the scene of the last supper.
Apparently, this is Jesus praying in the garden. Interesting fact, this Jesus was played by a woman. To gender equality!
Jesus gets betrayed by a disciples, and the Roman ruler, Pontius Pilate, orders him to death.
Yep, carrying the cross and being whipped
I learned something. Jesus was hanged with two other people! That is why the crosses on hills are often shown in threes.
Guard standing guard over Jesus' tomb.
Oh goodness! The tomb is open!!!
Jesus totally came to some people after dieing while they were eating! Jesus is the real miracle worker!
Yeah, this is Jesus ascending to heaven. True story...it was witnessed by his disciples.
Here is the video
For those in the Piedmont Triad area, you can go see the drive through crucifixion tomorrow, Saturday April 3rd, 8:00-9:30pm. Location and such can be found here.
This is not related to the crucifixion, it was just a church with a sign that I thought had a decent, if not ironic message.

Nontheists have signs also!
As a member of the UNCG Atheists, Agnostics, and Skeptics, I initiated a drive to adopt a street here in Greensboro. And we have a sign now for our efforts. Since it is a sign having to do with religion, I thought I would add it.
This is the sign going East on Wendover

And this is the sign going West on Wendover

Life is Short, Pray Hard
For some of these, you may have to click on the image for a larger picture to read what the signs say. Once you get the picture in the new tab or window, you should be able to float your mouse over it, and click on the image to zoom in. All images found in Greensboro, NC.

Yep, Jesus is the savior, I finally. I understand. It only took this billboard.

Hair cuts worthy of the King

God is super hip kids! He totally finds it cool to use the language of the lolcats.

True devotion

Grandfather Mountain
Grandfather Mountain is located near Boone, NC. We had some friends in town from Tallahassee, and went snow tubing in the morning near Boone, then went to Grandfather Mountain in the afternoon. Both events were terrifying for me, as I am not really into heights, or thrill sports. I prefer to keep all my arms and legs on my body, and my neck unbroken. But this is already way to much writing for a photo blog.
Here are some things we saw at the Grandfather Mountain gift shop. I find some of them to be quite disturbing.
